How much free memory do you have? This is a very large program.

That would also be my first guess. Also make sure it has been extracted from the zip onto your desktop or harddrive somewhere.

It has been extracted. The music files installed fine. I didn't have this problem with fish or plant. I'll keep trying.

Check how much available memory is on your device. That is the leading suspect.

Exactly how much is needed. Because when I didn't have enough memory it popped up "not enough memory", and would not install. This just keeps resetting over and over. I cleared out a bunch of stuff to make room.

Do you have a separate card reader? What I did to get this huge program onto my PDA is to unzip it directly onto my memory stick. Then, I plugged the memory stick into the PDA and copied the program file into RAM.

In this way, I avoided hotsynching such a large file.

Okay, how do I do that, unzip it onto my memory card directly?

Well, the Canon printer that I bought has a slot in it for me to put my memory stick and treat the stick just like a floppy disk or flash drive. Then, I can unzip and copy the file to any directory on the memory card.

At work, I bought an all-in-one memory card reader and plugged it into my USB port. I can access any files on the memory card that way as well. Here is a typical memory card reader,

If you copy the Village Sim file to your subdirectory called "PALM/launcher" you can run the program directly from your card (although you will still need ~4 Meg of free RAM in your Palm).
