I am a little confused with my villagers' behavior. I have a population of 26, about 10 of which are children. I am at level 2 of Farming and have all adult villagers' statuses set as Farmers, yet they seem to resist going fishing. The food points are at just over 300, and even though I drag them into the ocean, once the make one trip to the food bin with fish, they go directly to the pond and begin 'watering crops!' So, my question is....should I just leave them alone and see if they eventually realize the food is low and go fishing? I am afraid they will starve themselves..lol!

Also...it is a bit strange that no algae has appeared in the ocean as yet, and I have had them do a ton of fishing, thus far.

Your population is a bit high for the level of farming ability that your villagers have achieved. The food supply is designed to support only about 15 villagers until you've attained level 3 of farming technology. And, unfortunately, there is a problem with the farming AI that causes your farmers to make bad decisions. The game update that we're working on will correct that, but you might have to keep a close eye on your tribe to prevent disaster.

My villagers achieved Lvl 3 Farming and solved the fish puzzle, but the greenery wasn't actually there yet, because I kept the population low. Will it never appear now, or will it appear randomly? If the latter, will my villager go by themselves to re-solve the puzzle or will they just starve? Also, I didn't get the milestone =0(

If you solve the problem before it happens, it won't happen. But to completely solve the puzzle you need to have your villager fetch a couple fish.

I had the same problem that my daughter inadvertently solved by setting the oldest males preference to Parenting. I desperately threw everyone into the ocean to fish and finally got the algae, though I was only about 10k short of Farming L3. I wouldn't recommend this way unless you are that close or closer.

Keep tossing thier lil butts into the ocean, The people of my "Idjit Island" were doing the same thing, with zero food in the bin and they were still diligently attempting to create rice patties out of the veggie patch. When I toss them in the ocean, they MIGHT catch a fish and do that solo trek to the bin, then of course back to the rice patty...OR....they would insist on harvesting the coconuts that were long gone. I'm not sure if they were perhaps searching for coconut seeds? or just afraid to get their feet wet.

Today I started another village, it appears I have several runners among the group and while this does complete the tasks i set them to do quickly......Its not so easy to catch their scurrying lil butts to MAKE them do what I want them to do...sigh
