i have only one villager left - a small child. she is very hardworking and has built up a store of mushrooms so she isnt starving. also she has collected a lot of items and has quite a lot of tech points but thats all she can do. how can she progress? is there a way of importing another villager (male) so the village can survive?

Your only hope is to have an event that brings you new villagers. There are two or three different events that might help. I'm not sure about VV2, but with VV1 you would only get events with adult villagers, so you might have to wait for her to grow up before you start having events. You have a slim chance, but there's still hope!

She'll age one year per hour on 2X speed, so it will be less than 12 hours before she gets old enough to work (you haven't said how old she is at present). However, then she won't be able to pick up collectibles or mushrooms, so you'll just have to pray for the right event!

just thought i'd let u know how my surviving villager is getting on.
she (Itchi) survived on mushrooms from the age of 6 until she was old enough to work. by this time the sea was full of algae so she couldnt fish but managed to pick loads of coconuts and enough tech points to get the 2nd construction stage. she is now 26 and has built a dam, has crops (complete with scarecrow)and has just completed 56% of the hut. she suffered with ill health for a while (too many mushrooms i think) but made herself a medicinal stew and has been 100% healthy ever since.
I am just hoping that a nice young man will pass by to make her life complete!

WOW!! I think that is a lot of amazing progress you have made with 1 villager! Here's hoping you have just the right event to create a full and thriving population again. You should be impressed with yourself no matter what happens. And of course Itchi!
