Ok, so here's my problem.

I start a village. I get 2 farmers going, they get tonns of food (well over 1000 units). I stick it on 1/2 speed to go out for an hour, I come back, start up the game -- there's no food left and all my villagers are starving and weakened!

What the heck is goin on? lol

perhaps your food source became unusable? there is a puzzle to fix that if that is the case. (i am trying not to ruin this thread with spoilers)

i know there are also some small problems in the program regarding farmers behaviors and there is a patch on the way (a few weeks it should be ready i think) that fix it.

same thing happend to me only i had 2000 and i did the thing to gain a permnit one

lol the problem is I can't get that far (to the permanant food source) cuz my villagers starve to death before I get enough tech points to solve the puzzle. lol

Very annoying. And they're obsessed with the lousy coconuts.

If you're increasing your population too much, there won't be enough food to support them. Until you get sustainable fishing, you really can't support more than 15-20 villagers.

lol yes, but I only have the original 7 villagers you start off with...so...

I've been through 15 'start overs' cuz they all starve lol

Kaz.. try putting it on pause when you have to leave - until you can get fishing

lol yeah I think I'll have to since I can't trust the little brats to look after themselves for an hour :P

Same thing happend to me. I had 2778 of food, 7 villagers, and 190 coconuts left.. I left game running on normal speed and after 2 hours there's no food, no coconuts, and 1 of my villagers is dead
