I finally finished all the VV2 puzzles but only found that last gong piece (by putting the totem on the mosaic) by reading the detailed guide. Did anyone figure that out on their own? I don't think I ever would have had I not read the guide.

Yea, I had to read the guide too. There wasn't even a clue in the game to help with that one that I could see.

Actually, there is. If you look carefully at the writings on the wall (once it's uncovered) you can get the idea about what to do.

I read and re-read the writings at the time, hoping there was a clue. I just read them again, now that I know the puzzle, and I still don't get the clue. Hmmmm...

I don't mean by dropping a villager on it to get the popup message. I mean you need to study it (with your eyes).

I noticed that LadyCFII! Isn't the big circle the mosaic on the drawings? And I think the little face next to it is the totem.

Is it any totem or just a particular totem/

I am sure that all totems are supposed to work.

However, I could not get the angry blue-purple totem to work even after dozens of attempts. The skinny wooden totem worked just fine after one try.

I too feel silly. I just thought is was some interesting design. But now that I look closer...

I discovered it on my own. But I was just looking for an out of the way place to put my totems once I had too many to surround the love shack.

I've tried every spot on the mosaic floor and I still cannot get the last of the gong. I am going crazy. read the writing on the wall and still msut be having brain farts.
Anyone help?

We're trying to determine if there's a _bug_ lurking there. Could you provide a few more details about your situation? Have you ever changed your computer's system clock since starting the game? Have you tried repeatedly dropping the totem in the center of the mosaic, or tried different totems? Have you exited the game and started it again, and then tried? Are you playing more than one player slot?
