I put one of my villagers on the wall with the writings on it and she read it and then she disappeared? Where did she go?

Have you checked the whole Island? Sometimes when I think I've looked everywhere I will put it in map view and then I can find the little buggers.

that happened to me too,i plopped her down by the wall and i read the " writing on the wall" pop up and then when it went back to the game poof, she was gone. truthfully i had so many villagers at that point i didn't remember her name
she could have just moved back to fish or build??
but i know she did just poofed, gone b/4 my eyes

When either of you had that happen, did you get the popup message with the writing? Exactly where did you drop them?

hi , i did her right in front of the wall and the pop up screen came on, then when i went back to the game she was gone
and like i said i don't know if she was lost for good, because i had so mant villagers i forgot her name

Villagers alway seemed to poof or just plain teleported somewhere if you get a popup message

I did the same and it moved my villager to the ancient ruins.
