Why does it take so long to get the tech points ?It also seems to take forever to get the skills up.I have had the same person building for 30 hours and they are still only half way there,.

It is like real life

when you are learning something new, you pick up basics pretty quickly, and then the learning gets slower because you are learning more difficult concepts or processes

take piano lessons for example

you learn the scales in a very short period of time

you learn to play Mary had a Little Lamb and BaaBaa Black Sheep fairly quickly

the songs you want to play get progressively more difficult and it could take years to learn to play Beethoven or Mozart, or Rachmaninoff

if you have a talent for music, the process takes less time, if not, it takes a lot more work

To get tech points faster, use higher skilled scientists (master scientists earn more points per 'go' than adepts or trainees), and use more scientists -- have one or two farmers, one or two builders, and put everyone else at the research table.

And hunt for collectibles -- if you find one you already have, it becomes tech points.

It doesn't. It takes some time for a villager to become a master, but eventually they will move on from being an adept. Have patience.
