I've been very lucky with one of my village, I've had 3 Runner Boys so far and now a FEMALE RUNNER is ripe and ready to breed! Yes...!!

Ooh..Ooh...Ooh... I really hope Runner Mummy and Runner Daddy will produce lots n lots of Runner Babies!! And Maybe a whole village of Runners!!

I think you'll find that likes and dislikes will not pass on to their offspring. \:\(

I don't "stew" the non-runners, I make the researchers if they are male and parents if they are female.

I clocked the non-runner taking a sheel from the beach next to the crate to the research hut, 2 min.

I believe you are right about likes/dislikes not being passed on to children. I tried breeding two runners 3 times and no runner in the kids.

One of my original villages was a runner and I had him be with all the girls multiple times and have not gotten any runners since. I think it is random, I wish that could be passed down also.

it would be nice if the running could be passed down.

I've had a runner pass on his like to his daughter! Taro was the man who fell down the waterfall. His first child was Nishi, who has grown up to be a runner like her Dad!

Second time through the game for me; didn't get a runner first time, didn't even know what it was... until like Arnie, one of my guys that came over the falls was a runner. What a blessing!
Have about 10 kids now (can't remember how many adults) and they're allll boys. Argh!

I appreciate the value of a good runner, but don't they make you feel tired sometimes with all that activity? Sometimes I just want to make them slow down a bit, take a breath. Then I had a villager with a dislike of running, she was so painful to watch. When she was only two I made her pick up a precious pebble and she slowly walked it to the research hut, only to lose it on the way. She did eventually crawl her way to elder status, but it was so difficult to watch. On balance runners are, of course, a lot better value.

I know what you mean, Treen. In one game I started the guy who came over the falls was a runner, plus the oldest kid. I had them on building and farming, with the girl who also came over the falls static at the research table. She was the only one not moving at a dizzying speed; what with the two runners plus four kids zooming about I nearly went cross-eyed! ;\)

Thankfully, I've never (yet) had a villager with a dislike of running early on in the game; later on it doesn't matter so much.
