New crops should appear every 2 village years. The real clock (computer clock) time for this varies with the speed you have selected for that particular village (tribe).

I had a glitch in my game (not time traveling either) and my crop clock was set to 650 hours on X2 speed, i know how you feel, but over time it eventually reset itself. if you have it set to a lower speed, the timing is different. im not sure i always have mine set to X2 speed and pause it when ill be away for longer then an hour or so.
