Would'nt that be great! IT would be good if the guiding hand could get him to do stuff other than just heal, when you wanted him too. Could get us out of some tight corners!!! .... wonder what his progeny could do??

I found the Golden Child so very annoying! He can stay where he is! All he wanted to do was interrupt the work with parties. Pity there was no way to poison him with soup! Please don't re-introduce him in VV3! On the other hand I love VV2! The kids are useful and play games and giggle delightfully, they interact and have more things to collect. In short "waiting time" can be filled with things for me to door watch for. Bravo! Outfits are too expensive though!

I may not buy it if the GC ends up in VV3, I can't stand him!

there is an anti-GC faction
and it grows daily
as much good as he can do, he certainly makes a nuisance of himself at times

This was my theory about the GC that I posted in another thread.
I got it all worked out now. The villagers destroyed the artifacts from the first tribe (the temple, chipped the magic statue down to a rock, damned up the lagoon, buried the treasure) because they knew that while the magic idol was standing (when you rebuild it, it says it was as if the idol was always in the rock), the "cursed child" could be born by baptizing a baby in the lagoon. When performing a ceremony at the temple with the buried artifacts, he would regain his power. With his power back, he could ring the gong to bring forth a great evil.
In the next village(VV3), the child is locked up in a cave. The people destroying the artifacts attacked the first village, and captured the child (now fully powered), and are now looking for a mystical dagger, the only weapon that can kill it. Of course, your villagers don't realize it is evil until after the solve a puzzle to free him, and he runs off, leading from there into VV4

That is too funny, I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand that little gold cretin. I purposely started all my VV1 games over and left the last few puzzles undone so's not to deal with him...LOL. Just wiped out my VV1 games today to start a new one. This time, I'm going to do the same as you and not finish them.

Maybe if no one buys VV3 with the GC as a villager, maybe they could make an island event out of him, Like "The GC came and brutally forced the villagers to partay"

"A Golden Child appeard in ____'s dreams and inspired a spontaneous festival in which the villagers danced the funky chiken and made a conga line around the island-exhausting the villagers and stopping all work for several days"

I agree with you that the GC was very annoying, Constantly starting parities and dancing and just making all the tribe become lazy and not want to work. But what I'm getting at is that the GC, if revived in the 3 game would be totally different. The 2nd game is a lot better than the 1st. And if they would have the GC in it this time he would be a lot better than the last one. There was a movie called the "Golden Child" it had Eddie Murphy in it. This little boy could raise the dead. Eddie murphy was his protector against evil. The boy could also fortell the future. Maybe this game is something like it. There are a lot of secrets to this game. Even if he was annoying in the 1st game, that doesn't necessarily mean he would in any other sequil. There has to be a connection between the 1st game and the 2nd, the treasure chest, the ruins, the idol, and now there is a gong, mystery tribal writings and missing artifacts. And no mention of a mystical child in the 2nd game. Honestly I believe that all the games will connect in some way. And who knows just how many games they will have to make. "to do just that connect them"

Even though GC was a pain in the rear, in a lot of ways, he still did good in filling the food bin up. Helping with the magic berry bush ect. Your always told to expect good & bad in everyone. i.e: GC making everyone stop what you just got them doing with the partys & the partys & so on.... I just pause move everyone & leave him standing by himself doing nothing, he looks silly with the party comment on the bottom of screen with just him there...(a little billy no mates) (Sorry to any Billys out there just a figure of speech). I agree that there must be a connection as blue koka said between VV1 & VV2. I only just started VV2 myself so have'nt got no where near as many things happening to my villagers yet.
