is there a way to figure out when your next event will happen...i see it in the log file as a series of #s but was just curious at how that equates to real time...lol

I seem to remember reading somewhere on the forums that those numbers are in seconds -- so if you subtract the smaller one from the larger, you get the number of seconds until your next event.
Divide that number by 3600 to convert it to hours.

I guess if that's true it doesn't matter what speed you play the game on -- you get the event at the same time.

I usually get one event per day.

I get 1 event after about 12 hours. At least I think so. Because If I turn my computer off and go back the following mormimg I get an event. I usually finish at night shut it off then early in the morning I turn it on to another event.
I am not 100% sure it is 12 hours,but I think so.

Wow - that is WAY more events than I am seeing. I'm seeing an event every 2 or 3 real days maybe less. Same in VV1 as well. Something I'm doing wrong maybe?

It's important to open the game at least once per day to get as many eventsas possible. The events are not carried forward, so if you leave it a couple of days you'll still only have one event. That's the same with VV1 as well.

I can understand that if I don't open I won't see any events but I've played for hours a day, days at a time without any events. Maybe I have boring villages?

You only get 1 event a day, unless you don't visit your villages often.

I visit my village every day and have only had 2 island events since I started a month ago. I have obtained all of the techs, collected all of the collectibles and uncovered everything there is to uncover.

How much of the time is your game paused?

For all intents and purposes, you end up being penalized for pausing the game when you aren't actually playing it (even though a tip that appears on startup recommends that you pause the game if you're going to be away a while).

Even if you do remember to check the log to try to work out what time the next event is due, if you actually happen to have something else to do that prevents you playing at time, then goodbye to that event. And after that, there never seems to be any indication as to when another event will be triggered, so you just sit and hope you'll see one again sometime in the next few days.

The event should trigger the next time the game is launched after the scheduled time, but I suspect that if the game is paused that doesn't happen. It would be easy enough to test. \:\)

Would be logical for it to, but it doesn't.
