I have compleated all the quests exept the last one and my golden child has proven to be prefectly useless. Can anyone help with this delima??

He pretty much does as he wants and you can't force him to do anything for long. Just be patient and he'll solve one of the last puzzles for you when he gets around to it - whenever that is....

The golden child will not be any help with the absolute last puzzle, #12.

Puzzle 12 is not like any of the others. It is something that you will have to work and plan for. Unfortunately, if you don't know what it is, you won't be able to plan properly for it.

It's kind of a Catch 22.

There are several elements to Puzzle 12, which is pretty much an easter egg. The master builder is only one of those elements. You can get detailed help with any of the puzzles by following the instructions contained in this post.

I was stuck in solving puzzle 12. I had 4 storm in a row which washes up the crashed boat debris, but I still cannot get the builder trained to be a master. I only have this one guy clearing the beach 4 times.....by the fourth time, I realised that the experience for construction became stagnant and did not increase at all......I wonder when this stagnancy started, may be after the 2nd storm event......any comment?

When I First started playing village sim I had a problem simaliar to yours. So I restarted once I knew what to do. Do you know about the clock cheat?

As a villager approaches master status in a skill, the amount of improvement becomes smaller and smaller with each repetition of the task. It can appear that no improvement is being made, since each increment is much smaller than it was in the untrained/trainee levels. People have reported success in training a master builder using the debris and completing puzzle 12, but I don't think they started with a totally untrained villager.

The "clock cheat" you refer to isn't really a cheat as much as it is a way to speed up the game progress by setting your system clock ahead. That wouldn't help in this situation, since no amount of fast-forwarding is going to produce a master builder. It would speed up getting back to the same point in the game if you were to start over, but many people use their Palms for real work and depend upon the Palm having the correct date and time. Messing with the system clock can wreak havoc with many applications.
