I can't seem to get several things accomplished: 1. can't get 3 master buiders at once, when I got close 2 died, now I only have 1 adept and there's nothing to build. 2.If I leave the screen without pausing game everyone dies so I can't leave it going, I've started over 4 times now and don't want to again. 3. the elusive butterfly and stone are nowhere to be found. Any suggestions on any of these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, DM

dmtumble, you might want to try The VV-Lost Children Guides for hints, a general guide and spoilers

I still can't get 3 master builders or play without pausing the game. Can anyone tell me how to get the 3 builders when there's nothing to build. I tried to take 2 adept builders to the huts and constantly kept moving them around to another when hut was repaired but I lost them to old age right before one was to turn to master according to the guage on his indivual screen. Then when I checked the first one had died with him which then left me with only 1 adept builder. How is this accomplished?

How far into the game are you? There are several building projects that you can start with L3 techs that should enable you to get some masters. Patience!

I got my master builders pretty quick, I started the game having all my tribe (who were old enough) fish until the Algea came, then they all researched until they were masters, then they all built together (the huts and the dam)... they were masters fairly quickly...

Don't forget to turn off the game every once in a while.. it seems to help

I start every game putting the the adult male farming, the adult female researching and the oldest child building. Every one of my games also has started with a 13 year old child. As soon as the 13 year old becomes 14, I start that child building. I have been able to get three master builders early on (except the one time that I did not do it this way -- then it took forever). Once another child reaches 14, I put that child on the research table. Has worked every time I've followed this formula. I know, I didn't mention a third builder, that is usually the 4th child to reach 14. By then, I often have enough tech points to buy engineering.

Anyway, it definitely can be done, but you must plan it out (whaterver way works best for you) and then keep on them for quite some time, until they become adept at least.

Hope that helps. \:\)

If nothing else, just save taht gong piece for last. Once you have built everything you can, builders will start to repair huts automatically, so there is plenty of building experiance later in the game.

I dont go for building anything at first. I dont go for the research table either. When I start a new tribe I rename everyone so I can keep track of them then I go for the ocean and put ALL elligable villagers to farmingright away. The children pick up enough "collectables" during this to buy Farming. Then when they all reach adept farmers I have enough food to last until I get enough research done for building. Then I put all of my "adept" scientists on building... except for one female who will be Mother to all of my children....Usually she is the laziest tribe member LOL!
I usually get 2 adept builders in time for the dam to be built then by the time the dam is built I got 2 master builders and 1 adept "almost master" builder. I then have them all go to the research table again (mind you I still have about 2000 food and still have about 300 coconuts on my trees at this point) until I have a master scientist to make my cutting tools.
This is when I start on the Briar Patch to the north of the research hut I keep my 2 master builders on reasearch and put (by this time a 14 year old) on farming. I then start my "almost Master" Builder on the briar patch. About half way through he/she becomes a master!!! that is how I get 3 master builders.
