I bought VV2 for Mac as soon as I saw that it was available. I then received 2 email's about my purchase, but neither appears to have the link for the full version. What happened?!?!

I'm so bummed, I was so looking forward to playing today.

woooooot i have been waiting for this! i just got the e-mail saying it was available for Macintosh now really cheered me up. downloading the demo now, will buy it tomorrow :P

The first thing to check is your junk folder. Some email providers, especially Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail put emails from us in those folders. Many people have missed important emails from us because of that.

I have checked my junk folder but have not received anything from LDW. I only received payment details from Plimus Sales. I am not using Hotmail Yahoo or Gmail either but a primary email addy using Mail - Mac OS X - I am still playing the demo version. Thanks.

I bought it at LDW too, and my 3rd message said the link would be sent "w/i 48 hours"!!??

I've been playing the demo anyway, but I've maxed on population and can't buy the techs I need - aaarrrgggghhhh!!!

In the same situation. Bought it this morning and sent a message to support and still haven't gotten license info. My spam filters are off. Hopefully i'll get it soon!

Same thing here. I keep checking my email every half hour hoping for the activation code. I hope I don't have to wait another 36 hours!

Funny how waiting for 2 weeks wasn't all that awful, but waiting these last 24 hours has been dreadful!!!

My villagers are all dying and I still have'nt received the license code...I guess I have to start all over again when it comes...:(

I wish I would had paid more attention to the download page! I ended up buying VV "A New Home for Mac. Which I had bought and paid for back in Dec. '06. I emailed Last Day of Work, explaining what had happened and enclosed all my receipts. I haven't heard from them yet, but I will make sure to post the end result here.

Swedane --It's not your fault. There are two "click here to purchase and download" links on the webpage you are taken to by VV2 when you click the buy button.

One of those links sends you to the page for VV1 and one for the page for VV2... And unless you're looking carefully for the difference, there's nothing obvious on the page you start from!!

I mean, if the VV2 game takes you to a webpage that is entitled something like "Purchase VV2" --you'd expect that any purchase links from that page would be for VV2.

I almost purchased the wrong one myself.

We are aware of that problem and will get it fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime, if anyone has accidentally purchased VV1 from that page, please submit our Support Form with your order number and you will receive Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children.

Honestly, autumnmis, I never even noticed that!! I was actually playing VV2 --demo version-- when I decided to buy it. I clicked the "BUY NOW" icon in the main window of the demo. Who would have thought it would take you to VV1!? How MISLEADING is that? The SAD part is; Last Day of Work haven't bothered answering my complaints. I thought for sure they would allow me a replacement download!! Not only am I out of pocket 24.43 CAD, I'm rally chocked by their indifference.

The lead sticky in the forums is that they have two people out for a conference this week. Post the problem in the forum they asked you to and they will fix it, just give them some time.

Swedane, it was an error in the link that caused this situation - not any deliberate deception on the part of LDW. We are a very small game studio and Arthur and Carla are at a conference this week. As Arthur explained in this post, we just don't have the people to handle the support requests as quickly as we would like this week. Please be patient and everything will be made right.
