In VV1, the Doctors won't start to learn until you put them on the cactus bush or one of the other herbs, then they'd learn all the way up to Master. But, unless I checked everyday, I'd find my young doctors with building or farming skills and nothing in healing or just wandering around the village center worried about housing.

In VV2, I decided to see how long it would take to make a Master Doctor if I didn't do anything except make sure they were on the herbs before I logged out. I finally got a Master doctor at age 53! He has no other skills, no dislikes to learning or herbs! This one won't make an Esteemed Elder!! I'm tempted to rename him to Doc Dodo! All my other Doctors are Adepts or Trainees.

I'm not making tons of Elders on purpose. I want to see just how long Building and Healing skills takes to Master without having to be right on top of them all the time.

Builders are another class that I can't seem to make any Masters on now that the puzzles are solved. Once they reach Adept they start wandering around to the pond or the beach. Everything and anything except fixing the huts!

The villagers in VV2 are a LOT harder to train then in VV1. The only skill that seems to be unaffected is Farming. Scientists are the opposite of VV1! I have a TON of them at the research table, all my little ones run to the research table as soon as they hit 14!

I haven't had all the problems training doctors that everyone else has. At 14 I check that skill preference and then get them started and I have had 2 achieve master status by the time they were 20 and the rest are usually there by 34 or so. I think the builders are the hardest because they NEVER stay on task! But it does make it easier to dress them all the same so I can quickly get them back to work! LOL

Some of mine 14-year-olds are doing just that - that is, start to learn the set preference by themselves. But that is only those who got some pre-knowledge in that specific area. It all depends upon where you are in the game (=how advanced you've become).

I haven't had any of my healers stay on task either. Very frustrating. Proficiency in healing and parenting seem to be the most difficult skills to acquire, so I hardly bother with them.

Regarding talking to the totems - - Is that a _bug_ or a feature? It seems pointless, especially when the totem's person is still alive!

They will still bury the dead if you drop them on the body. I've only tested this with a master farmer though, my whole tribe died except her and two kids ... oops. \:\(

The kids are annoying with the collectibles sometimes. You have to get the drop just right. Other times you can miss by a mile and they still get it lol. It's only while one disappears while I was repositioning that I get really annoyed though. One of my kids is also an anti runner which means he moves like a snail and somehow he's always the one closest to a collectible when I spot it. Waiting for him to crawl back to the hut, especially when it's a new item I want to see ... Argh!
