I've got the gong completed, rang it the first time, but can't seem to ring it again and it's been days. How do you do it?

Actually I'm having the same problem, and yes I've drug my villager to it. All I get is that he is admiring the gong. I've only been able to ring it once, when I put the last piece of it in quite a while ago. I'm wondering if the 24 hours is real time, and not game time, because 24 hours have certainly come and gone in game time......

Well, it's been more than 24 hours and I'm still not able to get a villger to ring the gong. All they want to do is admire it. Has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks.

Well, I've eventually gotten a villager to ring the gong two or three times now, but 24 hours doesn't seem to have anything to do with it!

I've never had any problems ringing the gong. As Barbara has said, it takes 24 Earth hours to recharge. All three of my games that are far enough advanced have allowed me to ring it once the time expired. You can tell if the gong is ready because sparkles, similar to those round the collectibles and mushrooms, start to come from it.
