I may seem dense, but I can't see how an online version would work. Aren't online games usually competitive, shootemups and the like? In online 'god' games, Civilization, for example, the object is to grab more land/resources than the other player/s. Are you suggesting the various sets of villagers should go to war?

If you are feeling competitive, you can try to get yourself to the top of the leaderboard.

I used to play Diablo on battlenet a lot and that tended to run more to gang up and run through the game as fast as possible to get through each level. Many though would go so far and then stop and play several days to just level up. It was also a common practice while you were leveling up to go back to a level you had completed and help players at a lower level complete the challanges.

Well, I hope that if they do make an online VV game, that they also make one that is not an online game. I will not play online games. I think it may have something to do with my age though as my kids will play online games (my youngest is 20, will be 21 this year) so you can guess how old I am! LOL! Anyway, I have never been interested in online games. I want to figure out the puzzles for myself, not watch someone else do it, but that's just me.

I'm with Simsane -- I like figuring out the puzzles myself and then reading the forums later. But I also prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate -- doesn't make chocolate bad, just means I'd rather let someone else eat it \:\) .

I also can imagine the LDW servers going up in flames if all the VV fans tried to play online at the same time...yikes!

If it was an online thing, then you wouldnt be able to have your game going the way it is now, could you imagine, there are 11003 members on this site as of this time im typing, will be more later, could you imagine if following the ideals of the game if every single one of those 11003 people had games running 24 hours a day 7 days a week, the net is good, but not that good, I like the fact that i can go off and do other things and know that my village will be there when i get back, but progressed. Not having to sit there every minute to babysitt villagers carry baskets to the bin. yes the collections were amazing fun this time around, but i still got them all within 3 weeks, with playing total 1 1/2 hours a day. An online version would take the independance away from somone being able to just play the games as they see fit and not have to answer to anyone, not everyone who owns the games has a forums account either remember that, i dont know about you all, but i am full to the brinks with registrations lol
