One of my children turned into an apprentice parent the other day as the result of an event. Never realized children would have a different skill status. He was a bit young at 9 to be an apprentice parent though... lol.

Yes, but children can only ever be an apprentice, no matter how high their skill levels. I had an event when a girl swapped bodies with a woman who was on the brink of becoming an Elder. She still only showed as apprentice until she turned 14.
