I keep seeing things on the forum about a "Patch" for the minor glitches on the VV2 game. Any idea when? What will those of who already own the game have to do to get it? Will it happen automatically? OK that's more than 1 question... Sorry

It's not really a patch. It will be an updated release, which will be available when we're finished testing it. Details will be announced here on the forums at that time.

While you're working on it, can you make every attempt to make it installable without corrupting the two games I have going? (Add to wish list).

Please don't think me foolish, but does this mean that we will have to pay for it again or will it be at no additional cost?

I have to ask. will the update make the villagers at least a little smarter? Love VV1 and i am enjoying this game, but the fact that the villagers are truly idiots without a whole lot of attention is not fun or challenging, just annoying. egallag, this is a patch for VV2 The Lost Children, not VV1 A New Home, you do know that right? Just checking cause of the way you worded that comment.

They were merely pointing out the difference between the two. That is, the villagers seemed a lot less idiotic in VV1 And I do agree with that statement too!

ok but will we be able to continue our games in progress or should we finish out those games... I can't answer for LDW, but I'd think they will make the upgrade compatible if at all possible, so you'd be able to continue playing games in progress. If they do make a lot of important changes to the game there is a chance that might not be possible. If that's the case I'm sure LDW will warn people, but they won't know for sure until the upgrade is released.

Love VV1 and i am enjoying this game, but the fact that the villagers are truly idiots without a whole lot of attention is not fun or challenging, just annoying. LOL I know that sinking feeling when you invested in hours of plopping a villager onto a task and yell at the top of your lungs: "You idiot!!! You were just in that stream cooling off your feet!!! You don't need to do it again!" -OR- "Laundry again! What the ######## Do need to do that for? Get back to work!" ~Plop~ Then your villager dies before they become an elder!

Do we have any idea on the time frame for the patch? Just curious and asking for a friend who wants to try the game.

What exactly will the patch concist of? Will it just change some of the glitches or will there be added game play (such as possibly more collectables, more building points etc...) I know the one glitch that a lot of us have is the one where the kids get stuck in the bottom right hand corner. Is that the patch your talking about?

the patch will fix a number of user reported bugs. Basically anything they can fix in the time before its released will be fixed. It really doesnt do any good to ask simply because they wont know what all it fixes until its ready to be released to the public. Might as well just wait it out and look for the changes that will most likely be posted with the patch.

funny really , I am a beta tester , not for this game though , I bought this ... but beta brain has found found so many glitchs, i am actually NOT enjoying the game play , but enjoying screen capturing glitchs, and the annoyances the game is causing lol I have a glitch gallery a lot I have posted on here in different threads and random posts but I have a very comprehensive glitch gallery here, at home on my pc vary's from minor issues, mushrooms are a new item , to Zombie doctors , studying plant for 4 days and never gaining skills. and dont mention the coconuts!!! ... cannot wait to compare it with the patched version ...
once you have the Totems why do you need level 3 Science? I never bought it , never needed it!

spyro, the reality is that all games and programs have bugs in them... Take a look at Microsoft with a zillion programmers to write code, and then look at the number of programme and security patches they release weekly, even after sometimes 2-5 years beta testing

I'm betting he didn't notice the box to uncheck saying he didn't want the CD, so he got charged $10 for shipping and handling.

I can't answer for LDW, but I'd think they will make the upgrade compatible if at all possible, so you'd be able to continue playing games in progress. A few weeks ago Arthur said in the shout box that save games from version 1.00 would not be compatible with the new release. Things may have changed since then. If I had not read Arthur's comment in the shout box, I would have thought what you thought.

I also paid $30 for my game. I tried to buy from LDW but it to took me to big fish. I didn't want the CD, but I couldn't find where I could take it off. I was really hoping because I bought my first VV game from big fish that I would get it discounted, but it didn't work out that way. But I am happy with the game anyway.
