By once a day, I mean that a game that is played in a "typical fashion" will see an Island Event about every 24 Earth-hours, on average. If you leave the game paused a lot, that will affect the frequency of events. In addition, the total hours played that is shown on the statistics screen includes all of the time that the game is paused, and is somewhat misleading, since you can't determine how much of that time the game was actually unpaused. \:\)

Look in My Documents, the LDW folder. ldwLog is the text document you want.

click on the start button then My Documents and find the file...mine says LDW...open that up and you will find a file named ldwLog.txt...when you open that it will tell you what happened...i believe it resets or something like that every time you open the game...maybe someone could clear that up for you better...also you're not stupid the only way i learned that and a million other things is here in the forums \:\)

You are looking under Program Files. Try looking at My Documents, instead.

I'm not sure it is the best question ever \:\)

Island Events are the pop up windows that you get that affect your game. For a fairly complete list of them, go to VV2 Guides and view the thread "Island Events List." Look for a pdf by Esteemed Elder.
