I am now on my 12th tribe. \:\( All they do is die after a while. EVEN after making stew all my people died. I love VV2 but I am very tired of this. All I want is a successful tribe. And yes I have doe the tribes many kinds of ways trying to get a successful one. I am totally frustrated. I am hoping LDoW creators make a patch or something soon. Please.

Is it from lack of food, illness, or possibly too many villagers too early?

Those are all possibilities. Even though there are bugs that need to be fixed, you should be able to keep a tribe alive.

ABS, I would suggest that you keep your population to less than 10 villagers until you have several reliable sources of food, make sure that you have 2 trained farmers and at least one trained healer when you're going to leave the game unattended, and put the game on 1/2 speed if you'll be away for more than an hour or two. You may also want to review the General Strategy Guide. There are no spoilers in there, and you might get some ideas for developing a strategy that will work for you. \:\)

Hi ABS,

It can be pretty hard, but there are strategies that work. I have two villages that I've run on 2x for a while now. I'd concentrate on food, researching farming and construction, and solving puzzles 2, 3, and 7.

Also, the guide section of the forums has a strategy guide in it that may help.

Keep plugging, it can be done.

I have lost villages with 7 - 8 villagers ONLY. Yes I do food up front as well as healers. I even have fish & coconuts they die.
Then Fish Coconuts & Stew and they die.
I've already done the guides over and over and the detailed one too.
They die before I can get enough tech points to do #7
Still frustrated.

What mode are you playing in? Easy, Normal or Hard? and generally what speed do you play at?

Oh.. and there's one critical source of food I haven't seen you mention - so are your only sources of food fish and coconuts?

Are your villagers able to farm crops? You didn't mention that, and it's critical to survival.

While you're around to keep an eye on them I'd suggest you run at 2X speed, switching to normal speed when you shut down the game. That way you should get more tech points; you'd probably find your villagers eat faster, but that can be offset by hunting for mushrooms.

You might also try running in easy mode, although I confess I've not noticed much difference myself.

As bajantara and Barbara have said, farming crops is very important, and I'd make that a priority.

did you make sure that the fire will keep bruning when you leave the game i once forget and over night 5 villiagers died, less food now warm wasnt good.
also try to let your children collect much muschrooms especially the red ones (they gave more food points then the brown) and set game on 1/2 speed before shout down for longer. so make sure you have enogh food and fire and some who still collecting foods.
at the beginning dont care a lot about the puzzels. try to get tech points for farming an budling so you can build the damm and farm the field.
