I know it is pretty late to do things now, but I just thought of something I would like. I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before or if it is already in the game and I was just oblivious to it. I think that genetics should play a part in what kids look like. For example a dark skinned person with a dark skinned person would almost definatly have a dark skinned child or long hair might have the same hair. More details would make that better (such as eye color). This might make the game to complicated so then just forget it if it does, but I think it would be quite interesting to have a say in what the kids looked like.

The cute sounds that the villagers make, I thought that, about the tv programme Quantum Leap and Sam's catchprease when he has found himself in another time, says 'OHBOY' well I would like if that was added to the villager's sounds they make when you pick them up 'OHBOY'

LOL! One of my villagers always said "Ew!" When I'd pick her up (when she was a kid- though as an adult she says "oh!" like most female adults). Every child she's had (male or female) all have said "Ew!" as well. It's funny the way they say it. I love the giggle that some of the kids do when you pick them up too. I hope that is a feature in part three.

Some animals would be nice and have them breed like the people do. Chickens, I think would be the best animal. Their eggs could be food. Cows for milk and ect...

I think that fishing should be a tech that you could buy with tech points. Like if you buy it, your builder could learn how to cut down tress to get stronger wood. Then that builder could learn how to build a boat. This would help with fishing because the villagers will be able to catch more fish at one time, then one fish per person. I would also like to see nursing mothers gain skills while caring for the baby. Maybe they could gain half the skills the father would get. And I wish they could still work will nursing. Maybe make a sling to carry the baby on her back. That could be something you could buy with tech points too. A villager could learn how to use flexible sticks and leaves to make it. But the nursing mothers should only do light work. Such as tending to garden, teaching children... etc. I want to see weather! It's not sunny all the time on a tropical island. I would like to see hurricanes, storms, rain, thunderstorms etc. The weather could work its way into the random events. Like a hurricane rips through the village, and when it dies down, a strange artifact is found on the research table. That could grant maybe 1,000 tech points. And another thing lol , those kids are very annoying! I would like to see a school or daycare. Maybe the kids could be in there for about 15-20 minutes. And only An esteemed elder could teach children. That would help players strive to have as many elders as possible. Also, I would like to see many more spiritual events. Maybe when someone dies, they could do a special dance to honor them. And on random occasions they could do a rain dance. That could help speed up the growth of the crops. I love the games, can't wait for VV3!

And here is another idea, lol. How about pets for the kids? Maybe a parrot or a monkey. They could tame the monkey and he could help with the farming. He could reach the bananas that are at the top of the trees. And how about hunting? You could send a farmer to go hunting in the forest. Maybe the catch they bring back could depend on their status. Like a trainee farmer would have a slim chance of bringing anything back. Even if they brought something back, it would have maybe 28 points worth of food. But if you sent a master farmer, they would have 95% of bringing something back. AND if they did bring something back it could be worth 276-1500 points in food. That would also get players going to get master farmers. And make more food sources. Maybe berries, fish, game, birds, like parrots, coconuts, wild boar, peacocks, things like that. :')

They have "weather" in both VV & VV2. They are considered Island Events. You don't get to see the weather change, but you do get an after effect ... something like "The Storm: A large storm washed away most/all of the food in your storage bin." ... of "The Fuzzy Food: extreamly humid weather has made the food in your storage bin begin to mold." ... or "The Wooden Crate: a wooden crate washed up on the beach, it is filled w/ rusty tools." etc.

This kind of stuff I like (but I would like to see much more of it) however I am glad that we don't actually see the weather itself. I think it is too complicated for our little simple village. This game is about teaching your villagers the basics, if we have a bunch of advancements that serve no real purpose towards the main goal of the game we end up losing that special feeling the game creates.

This goes out to everyone:
If you want more/better graphics, than I suggest going for more advanced games that specialize in advanced graphics. The simple sim games like "VV" just wont produce them for you, because if they did then there would be a bunch of people saying...why are the graphics for the villagers completely different from the graphics for the special effects, we want better villager graphics. If LDW changed both, than the entire game would lose its charm.

Suggestions (in my oppinion) should be kept in the proper scope. What cool things could be added to future games, to make each game unique, but not change the games from their original design. Basically the best suggestions for the games are those that add to the differences but ultimatly keep the game exactly the same. Sounds odd I know, and difficult to grasp, but that's the way it is. The simplest, and most common ideas will be the ones to get used.

Well, anyway, that's my two cents. I hope everyone will be able to find the things they were hoping for in the next installments of the VV game series ... here's to a happy medium!!! Cheers.

I think that one of the technologies should be Tools. In the beginning of the game, the villagers would have simple stone tools, but in the end of the game, the villagers would have metal.

And I have absolutely no clue how villagers would live to be only 59! Scientists say that CAVEMEN lived a long life since they had very healthy diets and excercized a lot. The kind of people who only live to 59 are the people who eat their own waste and live in dirty, crowded cities and have a poor immune system.

Also, when a villager turns from a kid to adult, their hair should get darker. That's what happens in real life.

And I don't really care that it's late for suggestions. i just want an awesome game. \:D \:D

I'd like it if Virtual Villagers was less about completing puzzles such as the Gong of Wonder and more about survival.

An81angel , what I meant by weather is actually showing the weather. It doesn't have to be for long, maybe just like 5 minutes in real time. And it doesn't have to have any effects on the village, just maybe some rain once in a while.
