The 2 year mothering time should count higher towards Parenting skills. My females have a harder time making it to master in anything since they have to take 2 years 'off' without gaining skills. Yet, in that same time frame, the males, who get the same amount of parenting skill as the females when they make the baby, get to Master in their skills. Doesn't seem quite fair.
My daughter and I both love the games though, already eagerly awaiting VV3!

I agree with Marty. Maybe give the nursing mothers lesser points, or have them take time out to nurse, change or bathe babies so that they are doing less than others. Or have a "day care" set up where some nursing mothers take care of the tribe's babies, with the nursing moms coming in now and then to nurse, but otherwise contributing to the tribe's welfare.
It would also be nice for the kids to do tasks as they've been doing, like finding the mushrooms, starting at an earlier age but also continuing to do it from time to time on their own. Even in the most primitive tribes kids start working earlier doing small tasks for the greater good of the tribe. And maybe have them do tasks randomly from time to time, once they've been taught to do it.

too bad the parent who initiates the babymaking cannot be the one who ends up caring for the child every time then, if you can't spare your mother, the father babysits 'bout time men start taking some of the responsibility

stops the women from being able to advance to elders
shouldn't have to make that choice
men do work, but they don't do ALL the work
for fairness sake, it would just be nice to have the fathers taking care of baby for a while, let the moms get up and stratch, enjoy the pond, tend the garden, etc

Being a mum myself who nursed the first two years of her child's life, I feel that parneting should rate higher tahn it does. A child's mum and dad are his/her first teachers, the one who molds that little soul, that has the most impact on that child's life. Every time a dad or mum tells a story, takes the time to teach, stops to playa game of tag (I have several dads who do this with the children) even make a pot of stew, this should count. And I agree; I would love to see a dad pick up his child, Let the nursing mum let dad hold the babe for a few minutes. Allow the 14 years to baby sit for a bit while the mum works. I would also like to see a Master Teacher, a Master Spiritual leader(let that be the person who buries the dead as well as perform marriages) Right now, I appoint my eldest man as the Master Teacher (the kids love it; by the time the old fellow arrives, school is over) and the eldest woman is the Spiritual Leader i.e says a few words at the grave of the dearly departed, perform the weddings and oversees the immersions of the 14 years before they start working in the communty.

Would be nice to have weather, rain, snow, etc. Also the villagers could have bars to guide you, such as a bar for farming, a bar for building etc. above their head.

It would be nice for a day care. Someone set as a parent or adept or master parent could care for others children so more could work. Also, if you could assign a doctor to the hospital and the sick villager could go to the hospital or you drag and drop on hospital to heal.

It would be nice to see villagers (farmers) to breed some animals e.g. hens (chickens). Children could pic up eggs likewise mushrooms. The eggs also could be color, small or big, magic and could be used to preparing some new stews.
