If it doesn't happen yet, then get those near-masters to breed, and follow through on the next generation. There are still more building projects, and the further generations will pick up a lot faster. Unfortunately, the projects get staggered while you're catching up on tech points, so hopefully your timing will work out alright.
For me that is impossible since my 3 villagers are all female, so it seems as I'm "up the creek without a paddle" as the old saying goes.
And I was looking forward to seeing what the Gong of Wonder does.
