I had two children die over night and I have no idea why. Is there a way I can find out?

Yes. Go to My Documents => LDW => Virtual Villagers 2 - The Lost Children, and look for a .txt file (I believe ldwlogs.txt, or something). That is your log file. Open it in notepad, and it will likely tell you what happened, but don't wait too long, and catch it before you open the game again, as it only holds history for so long.

My guess is that the children probably got sick with no doctor to heal them.

I did that and turns out that they died of starvation. Which I didnt understand because the farm was full and I had at least two farmers. I think what happen was that I had them checked off to do other things trying to make them elders before they die and they didnt get any food. Because the bin was empty when I got back.

Oh, okay. Now you know, anyways... It's better that way.

At least it wasn't SIDS .
