I just saw one of my adult villagers do strangest thing and I wondered if it was supposed to occur or not. One of my guys grabs a basket of food and took it over by the pond and sat down with it. That was interesting, I had not seen anyone do that yet. I gently selected him so as not to interrupt his activity, and it said 'Enjoying the pond'. Ok, maybe he was having a picnic or something, I thought. And then he stood up with his food basket, jumped into the pond and started swimming around while holding his basket!!!! He did this for a minute or so and after doing a few laps around the pond got up and walked out of the water, still clutching his precious veggies. Has anyone else had a villager do this? It was funny as heck to watch and he certainly seemed to be having a good time, but it was ODD!
LOL

That really made me laugh out loud and I'm now waiting to see if any of my villagers does something like that.

If I catch him doing this again I will be sure to get a screenshot. The only time I could not see his basket of veggies was when he was swimming because only his head was above the water, but he had it again when he stepped out of the pond.

I may be that this is the way he does his laundery?

If that is the case then carrots and leafy greens make for some interesting fabric softener.....lol. Maybe he was trying to speed up his Farming skills because that is the last thing he needs before becoming an Elder.<grin>

Was your villager checked for healing?

Hmm I don't think so. I think what I will do is uncheck everything and let him have free run of the village. I will have my Screen Capture ready if he or anyone else tries to swim with a basket of harvested veggies.

free run? \:o

Hopefully either your village is stable enough for a population explosion, or your guy's highest skill level is something other than Parenting. I had 1 villager whose highest level was Parenting & I forgot to set a preferred skill for him before I quit the game for a while. He was a VERY busy boy - I returned to find every "capable" female in my village nursing!
