The doctors are not the only thing I am annoyed about. Please do not think, however, that I think nothing of this game. It is an entertaining game with lots of charm. And it is nice that LDW has tried to make it more interactive this time, but this is too much of tedious work. Not just the doctors and the lazy farmers in the beginning but also the collectables.

For more than a week I have been hunting for 2 pebbles, one butterfly and one beetle - all rare ones. I was expecting to get more chances after I upgraded to level 3 in exploring (it says that children will find more items), but I cannot see the difference at all. 160,000 tech points and driving my researchers like slaves for nothing. That is at least how it feels right now. Yesterday I spent 12 hours (can you believe it?!) just playing the game and hunting for collectables. There was not even one new collectable during ALL that time! And I cannot spend my whole life on this game. Sorry if I am complaining, but I am tired today :-) No VV2 today, I need to study too...

Anyway, I do not let the game run in between sessions because of the collectables. I do not want the children to grow up while I am gone and then find myself without anyone to pick up the precious butterfly that will surely show up just then...

Just to add some credits - I love the children in this game! They are the cutest and it is fun that they inherit their parents looks mixed in new combinations (hair style and color). I am totally into matching parents and anticipating the outcome!

Just be patient, they'll show up eventually. I had to be patient to find my last beetle. \:D

OH I totally agree with you. It is so far more time consuming than the first version. I am totally annoyed with it. But I still keep playing. Imagine that ..LOL

I used to pause my game while I went away for the exact same reason. But I found that it took longer for the collectables to start showing up again once i took it off pause?? Also, you'll find that the rarer collectables show up less freqauently than the more common ones.

It can be frustrating though I agree \:\)
