Hi, all! I just found this forum and I am so excited! I LOVE VS. My issue: I had a golden child and she never aged past 5 and suddenly she is gone. Now my villagers are stuck in a rut. Any ideas? Do I have to wait for another to be born? [btw have level 3 of all available on the 1st island, only thing left is moving that boulder!]

1. Have you tried creating another GC?
2. Have you tried running your backup save game file to see if the GC is there?

If the above do not work, I think you are stuck, unless LadyCFII or Arthur can edit your save game file.

PS: How did you lose your GC? Island Event?

Smushy, what version of the game are you playing (PC, Mac, or Palm)? The options that you have are different in different versions.

No clue how I lost the GC. Next day she was gone. I am using Palm OS. No idea about saved games. Just a newbie. Thank you!!

What version of the game are you playing? V1.0 has a nasty _bug_ that causes villagers to vanish. That _bug_ was corrected in V1.1, which you can download from here. Just download and install the free trial and enter your existing reg code. Note: v1.1 will erase your current game, since the versions are not compatible, so don't install it until you're ready to start over.

Oh, I am using V 1.0. Is my only option restarting? I've come so far! Okay, I will if thats the only option. Thanks for your help.

How recently did you purchase the game? V1.1 was released well over a year ago.

according to my records, on January 13th. Thats what my receipt from Handango says. Yikes! Um, is that bad?

I'm just very surprised that Handango is still selling v1.0. I might have to do some checking.
