for the last two hours, my adept doctor has been wandering about " studying strange plant" all of her own accord, I have been measuring her skill level , with a small ruler and there is no significant difference, so I picked her up and set her to research , then she went off again "studying strange plant"

actually I'm finding her quite entertaining, because not else is happening, i'm waiting for crops to grow, builders to finish and tech points to amass, just a shame she is seemingly doing this all in vain, surely she should be almost a master lol

my doctor did that til she had a child now she spends all her time enjoying the pool or cooling her feet she wont do anything else not even cure agh!!!

I think I may put this game on hold, until there is a patch

my doctors "activities" are not even in the log file, the builders and farmers activies are there, but seems what ever she is doing its pointlessand her skill level isn't rising!!

oh well i still haven't finished a few other games!!!

you could get all of your villagers sick and then have the doctor heal them all, just be careful!

That's right. Just let your fire go out and the doctor will start getting patients. If you feel really evil you could brew up a batch of poisonous stew, force-feed it to your villagers, and have your doctor heal them.

tried that - didn't make him a master though, even after the second round of evil doing his skills had only gone up slightly

I made sure that my one trainee 'slacker' doctor was studying plants when I logged off the game, next time I logged in, he was adept.

I noticed that if I didn't make sure that he was studying plants (the only other way besides healing a sick person for them to gain skill) they usually didn't progress at all on their own but spent the time slacking off.

Everyone on my island slacked off until they all died except for the baby. He's ben subsisting on mushrooms, but he can't keep the birds off the crops, nor can he remedy the algae problem. I'm afraid that when he is old enough, he might not have enough time to get things done before he also expires. That will have been a great waste of time.

Poisoning all villagers for the benefit of one?! What a cruel and totally evil suggestion. You should be ashamed of yourselves!
