I have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of VV2. I don't mean to be a downer but after 5 villages starving to death even though I was watching the little critters almost around the clock... pausing it at night so they wouldn't starve before I could get to them. I finally completed one. It took forever to get enough tech points and the dang villagers refused to harvest their crops. One morning I found them all dead. They had the fire and their crops were full and plenty of fishing. I usually have at least 4 games going at once but I guess I shall stop and wait for VV3. Anybody else have lazy villagers? Oh and I think we have a little discrimination going on. I had a hard working little lady that single handedly built the entire village and still she died without getting her totem. She not only built everything, she fixed it too! She never got her Master Builder status. The 2 men that got their totems didn't do a dang thing to deserve it. Anyway I need to know if it happens to anybody else.

Hi thanks for the feedback. We have improved the farmer intelligence a bit, and I hope that will help avoid some of these starvation disasters. We will release a modified version hopefully next week with many other small bugfixes.

The new version should just install right over the old one. More info on this as soon as it is available.

but if you got the game from bigfish ?... will the have the new one and can I overinstall from another portal ??

I have a gift token from another portal I may just abandon my buying it , and get it a again as a gift when it reaches that portal ,
these annoyances are annoying , not saying I would like the game to be easy and over in an hour, but when you wait 8 hours for your very adept farmer to get that one milimetre to be a master!! that is annoying! and whats with the cocconuts, field full of crops and they run off to grab 30 cocconuts, i had to stand as a sort of policeman and stop them passing the line!! that is annoying!... but funny , watching me scream at A PC shouting, " hey you NO , NO , NO!!! you get the veggies you idiot!! thats funny!

Yes I've had the same problems, it seems the villagers just won't fish when not being watched. I left the game this morning and the villagers had loads of food but when I came back on tonight they had none and fishing is open so why don't they fish when no crops or coconuts. Ive also lost the occasional hard working villager before they could get the totem too - most frustrating! Let's hope the patch will solve these problems when we get it.

As much as I love VV2, the amount of time it takes to obtain tech points and having to force them to harvest crops or fish is bothersome. And after all this time, only two of my villagers have recieved their totem poles; just before they died.

well atleast you got totems,I cant get one, although, I have a villager max out on all skills..go figure...

My biggest frustration is the builders! Geez, it takes forever to get a master builder. As far as the farming goes, I was having the same problem for quite awhile. Currently I have three villages going. The very first village I started lost two 9 year olders and 2 adults to starvation the first or second night I was playing. After that, I sat all evening and most of the next morning doing nothing but guiding their harvesting, watering of crops, fishing and coconut gathering. Now, I rarely play that village (I'm trying to get the ungodly amount of tech points needed to reach the final stages) but whenever I check on them, there is oodles and oodles of food and some are harvesting or watering crops, some are fishing and some are gathering coconuts (unless of course there are no coconuts available). There is a population of 37 but there was like 112000 food points available last time I looked. So as frustrating as it is to have to sit and babysit them to teach them, they do eventually learn and that is without any patch. So keep up hope!

I too have all iof the above problems. I've started 7 vilages (so far) and they all either die off, or want laundry after MAYBE getting half of a skill. I did get one master scientist though but everyone died off because even though I did have level 2 farming and level 2 engineering, they are sooooo lazy and I just can't seem to get things to go right.

Even with the problems its fun to finally have VV2 here!

I hope when a fix does come out that I can get it. I DID buy my game from Big Fish.

also my builders i assigned them to fix hut so i can get them to master but after fixing they just went wandering of or do other stuff like farming or research

My villagers are slow (moving like elders), seems as though events, tech points and general progression of the game is not balanced!

If you have a villager with all skills maxed & they weren't given Esteemed Elder status or a totem after 3 skills were mastered, you might want to post about it. There might be something going on with your game & LDW would want to know if that's the case.

What about this game patch then?
