i never have enough tech pts to advance no matter how many villagers i have on the tech table or for how long i have them there. take for instance every night before i go to bed i put all but 1 or 2 villagers on the table (the other 1 or 2 is in farming) and when i wake up i just barely have 12000 and thats if i'm lucky. so how can i get the pts to go up faster? is there a trick to it? or is there anyway at all to do it? i was thinking i could bring some of my pts from my VV1 game sence i finished all that puzzle and i don't need them on that game anymore but can you do that????

have your kids search for collectables....and nope, can't transfer over your tech points....

the only way of making things faster is by cummulating all your tech points for buying the next level of science first instead of advancing any other level. the hight the science level, the faster the tech points are rising. although it takes for ages to get to level 3 it's really worth the wait, because the other levels 3 will be much easier to acquire.

also master scientists accumulate points faster than others.

do you change their checked skill to research? If you don't, they'll research once or twice, and then go back to what their checked job is.

all of them are checked for research and i look every time i'm on so the kids can get the collectables

the speed also depends on the set game speed - if you're on half it'll take longer obviously.

I would change the game speed. be careful if you leave it on 2x, too much time may pass and if you run out of food then your villagers will be dead.

Do you leave your game running, or do you set the speed & quit? I believe if you quit the game, it basically gets rid of the "goof off factor". LadyCFII said in a post somewhere (I can't seem to find it now!) that it's easier to get Masters that way, as well.

oh i really don't know i don't even remember setting it LOL

I've started doing that when I have to do something else for a couple hours & it seems like it really does help. I set everyone's preference, make sure they're all healthy & on the job (not admiring this or enjoying that), then set the speed & quit. I'm just way too OCD about collectibles & mushies to let it run like that for more than a couple hours tho.

Well, when you're actually playing the game, you could watch out for the famous "leg twitch".....when they are at the research table and give a little kick, this means they have just completed research on something and have earned points. Move them immediately after and it will put them on their next research project and so on.

Oh, and try to buy your science levels a.s.a.p. as this will also build your points faster.
