Actually, I had a villager find a drink while wandering with her baby, which brought her up to adept doctor knowledge. Not total mastery, but a good start!
I have not actually played VV1. I just discovered this game with the release of VV2, and I love it so far... I can tell you though, that yes, you do pretty well start off with the basics. The story premise is that two villagers from VV1 fall through a... something, I forget, and discover a portion of the island with all confused children looking for food.
You start off the game with I think, 7 or 8 villagers of varying ages, a few of which are of young adult age.
As far as running both at the same time, I can't see any problem with that! Again, I haven't played VV1, but they are two totally seperate programs, so I don't see why not?

If you paused the game b4 your trial ended your game will start from there, with big fish *i have an account there* they give you a code, and it just unlocks the full thing, so as long as you paused the game ,,, you should be ok, if you didnt then yes you will have to start from scratch, vv2 begins where vv1 ends, with a few things but not others, not gonna say and ruin it for ya ,, there is no trouble running both at the same time as long as your personal computer is able to handle that, I run mine together all the time, hope that helps and gl

I did it! I bought VV1 as well and guess what?! OMG! It's the game I was playing last night - I have my master healer! She's 8 now and had to use her talents on one of the others who have all suffered due to lack of food - but I think I'll be able to nurse them all back to health and the crops are planted now and... ACK! There's just something about this game.

It seems I read something early on about the nursing mothers taking their babies into a "sauna" during the time they are caring for them, and it would make them healthier. But, I cannot, for the life of me, remember where I read this -- or where to find it.
Would anyone know about this? Or, where to find the 'sauna?' As soon as I got started, I began looking for a sauna but I cannot find it. Logic told me that it would be inside that big rock by the pond where the stairs lead to the top. But, it does not seem to be...

Perhaps this sauna is something that needs to be built...
Blessed be you. Katherine.
