First just wanted to say love the vv2 and I'm finding it very hard to stay away!! As for my question, I came back to my game one morning to find that a dozen or so of my villagers really like the name "Onawa"...they like it so much in fact that they have changed their names to that! I'm hopin that that is a "_bug_" in the game and not my villagers really coming to life...lol. Is it safe to assume that this will be resolved in the patch? Any ideas when the patch will be out?...and lastly, will the patch be adding a few features as well?

Yes this is a _bug_. LadyCFII has stated they are working on it, and hopefully will be fixed by the _bug_.

They typically do not add new features in a patch, and I don't think this one will be any different.

I experienced something similar in VV1 -- but I figured it was because I possibly wore the game out.. as I played it constantly from August last year until this new one was recently released! About a month or so ago, I realized that many of the villagers were under the same name, even after they died..their headstones would all have the same name, so it was hard to tell who had just died, etc.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling it, and it fixed the problem, after which everything ran smoothly again.

HMMMMM....that's funny?! I thot the game just came out on the fifteenth of this month? That was when I purchased it from BFG, and it said it was released that day?...I will admit that I am addicted and have been playing pretty much constantly since I got it...lol...but I would hate to have to re install as I'm almost finished...just have the last of the collectibles to find...which are proving to be very difficult!...still need one butterfly...three stones and four beetles....but I have 28 elders and all puzzles solved!....and I am so addicted that I'm gonna start a new village....oooo....I'm babbling...soo tired...to much playing and not enuff sleep....lol...

I had a few villagers born with the name "?". I was a bit confused at first, but I just figured it is a _bug_. I didn't realize it was a real issue until I got an island event where it said something like:

Your villager ? was hit on the head...

I was like, shouldn't there be a name in there, that's strange. Then my brain clicked on (becuase I have been a drone searching for collectables!) and realized it must be a glitch!

Well, being hit on the head would explain a name like "?", if that had occurred first.

If you catch it soon enough, can't you rename all your villagers again, manually? I'm assuming this is just a temporary glitch, not a permanent inability to redefine names?

I've been lucky so far, I haven't had any of the glitches mentioned by others yet...

I had it happen and just renamed the person. It was fine.

If that's the case, I wouldn't worry too much about it... Not like the food glitch.

I also had the bonk on the head event and did just rename her...I just started another village and that was also the first event...the spontaneous name change was mostly just an annoyance...I like to keep the original names...I just realized how long I'v left my new village for!!!....gotta get back at it and make sure they are fishing!!...
