Sorry - mistake I don't know how to undo. This applies to VV 2 - the lost children one. In VV2 I seem to have little control over the villagers as they become more accomplished. I have had over 10 villagers who could have been masters level, worked all day in one area, and the bar wouldn't move, or even if it was level with another area (masters in farming vs. masters in building), it would only give them the "adept" title. Verrrrrrry frustrating. Then, after working their entire lives, they die without any recognition. Wahhhhhh.

Like reall-life, once you get good at something, the more it takes to get better.

I had the same issue. Eventually they become Masters, but it takes a very long time in some cases which is extremely frustrating and time wasting. Seems like this game is more about waiting then doing.

I actually like that about the game. It's a game where you can go away and do other things, and let the villagers do their thing, then check up on them and start them in new directions every so often. That's why it's addictive, because it's an ever-growing cycle.

I had seen in another post that if you shut down the game and let it run that way, they tend to hit master faster.

I did notice that if I shut down and come back that my people move up more quickly.

when I have a villager so near and hours later they still so near , I either
a, give them a new skill for 10 minutes, eg healing make them learn the shrubs , put them back on building and wow they are master , that may be a coincidence, but maybe they need new stimuli to learn ,

or B, this has been said... switch game off for a bit , bit meaning an hour and you may come back to a celebration!!

as the old adage says, a watched pot never boils!! of course that is scientifically nonsense but its psychologically probable
