I have one village who just can't get that last tiny experience as a builder. If I put him at the research table as a builder, will he get more building experience or can you only get research experience there?

I'm low on tech points so I don't have anything for him to build! I keep sending him to the huts to fix but that only goes so far. He's 56 and I don't want him to die before becoming an elder!!!

nmgirl98, they will only gain building experience building projects or fixing huts. If you put him on the table he will only gain research skills. That last part to get him to master will take the longest. So you just have to keep him building. If there are not more building projects just drop him on an existing hut and he will repair it and gain skill that way.

I did that thing that you're all talking about, and I was so thankful to be able to while my masters still lived.

Now I just have one man who is master of two things and just needs that one little bit of building to become an elder. But he's been building forever with his bar at the high-end of adept, just on the verge. He's built an entire hut by himself with hardly any change. *sigh* I do hope he makes it before his time's up...

watch him closely, put him on fixing one of the huts, and when you see it say he has gained experience, pick him up and drop him on the hut again

Ah thank you, Shigh. I didn't think of doing that, though I was doning the same sort of thing with a girl I want to become a master parent. She's elderly enough not to get pregnant, so I had kept picking up and dropping her on another man to get her parenting up. It seemed to work, but she's still adept, not master. If she masters that, she'll be an elder...

BTW, the one who's working on building I just checked up on, and he's got the same level bar as another master skill, so he must be right about there! He's only 51, so I guess I'm safe - one more elder on the way! \:D I think the parent one will make it, too... The bar's just under, and she's 54.

Is it true you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Does their bar need to say "healthy" and not "elderly" to gain experience?
