I've officially given up renaming my villagers (unless they have really ugly names). I can't think of any more names to give them! I started off naming everyone after characters on the Buffy and Angel shows, but then I got a whole bunch of redheads and you can't name everyone Willow and Oz. So now I take em as they come!
