I have a mother walking around "caring for baby" but in the details it says "nursing for 0 minutes" and she's been walking around like this for a while...is there anything I can do to encourage her to put the baby down??

I have found that if you want her to put the baby down sooner you need to exit the game... Not minimize, but exit... Otherwise it seems they take a long time to set the baby down...

Thanks, I tried exiting, and that didn't work, but eventually she put the baby down on her own.

I've had good luck with changing the game speeds to get them to drop the baby. I usually play in 2x, so I move it down to 1/2 time for a few minutes then put it back up to 2x. Thats worked 3 times for me so far. Not had it fail yet.

the timer of 0 still needs the * villagers equvelient* of a year to run out, kind of like a clock counting down theres still the seconds to get through b4 its acually done, and since they count in minutes, theres still 60 seconds left after the min timer hits 0

I had one baby that took forever for the mother to put down, too. I tried changing gamespeed, and a placing her in different places, but didn't try restarting the game. Anyways, she put him down eventually... So if nothing else, a little patience will do it.

the game has a set "refresh" rate

its less than 10 minutes, once the baby timer hits 0, the game still waits for the refresh to make the child appear and send the mother back to work

Thanks eyeshigh, I didn't realise that...guess it makes sense though, I'll just have to be more patient waiting to get my workers back!
