Ok I set my game to 1/2 speed because I was out for about 4 hrs. When I left I had a full thing of food and everyone was doing their "thing", I come back and there is no food and the crops say 85 mins till new and that is on 2X the speed. What happened? Why didn't they tend the crops. I have 4 master farms and at least 3 Adept ones. Now I'm afraid they are all going to die waiting for the crops. They can't fish (algae) and the coconuts are gone. I don't get it.

How do you feel about mushrooms??

What kind of tech points do you have right now?? How many scientists and masters scientists do you have? What is your total population? What puzzles do you have solved (i.e. stew???) I know this is alot of questions but you may be able to pull out of this. Let me know and I'll tell you what I did with my crippled village.

Ok I have 16 villages, I have level 2 on all the tech things, Puzzles 1-5, 9, 12, 13 and 16. 3 master scientists and 1 adept and 1 trainee. Heeeeelp PLEASE!!! I have come so far I don't want to lose now.

I think you may have hope. Yeah!!! What is your tech level points right now? Have you found different stew recipes (ie: one that completely restores)? I won't tell you the stew unless you want me to. I will gladly however hint at it for you.

I tried the stew but because I have no food it won't let me make it. Waaaaaaahhhhhh!!! I only have about 25000 tech points

That happend to me "Just me" I just managed to survive by never leaving my computer and getting the kids to pick as many mushrooms as I could find. Then I set every one of my 9 adults picking my crops and not letting them get any of the few coconuts that had grown until all the crops were picked I did this twice. I now have 700 food and 10 coconuts left to pick and I am nearly ready to harvest again. It was a close call but I think I made quite a good recovery.

okay. wow. let's see. I think the way I would go about this is to put everyone on researching. They are doing no good 'watering the crops'. I would vigilantly look for mushrooms while making sure that everyone is on full research detail. Then when your crops come in, only let two farmers harvest them. Keep all others on the research. Be the nazi guiding hand. Everyone must research!! As soon as you get 15 food in, send out four villagers to get your stew. One to prepare, and one each for the herb themselves, send the preparer for water, and then for food. As soon as the others are done with their tasks, send them right back to the research table. Always look for mushrooms and collectibles as they will benefit your tech and your food! Also, your coconut trees will sloooowwly regenerate so every now and then you will be able to get eight to ten food pts from there. When the stew is ready, mass feed everyone to completely restore them and then put them right back to work. Keep doing this and let me know how you do!!!! Good luck!!!

I just don't understand why they didn't tend the crops. I shut it down for longer at night when I sleep and never had this happen. I came so far and I am going to have to start all over.

You should be able to pull out of this okay. I was afraid that you didnt have any masters and hardly any tech points. It will take a bit but you should be fine. One of my villages was in a much worse condition.

I have found that they will not tend the crops by themselves (!!!!!!!!) until you have tech 3 on farming. It is sooo frustrating. We milk them along making sure they know how and what to do and then they dont do it. Grrrr! I totally have sympathy with you! Been there and felt the trauma!

I am very new to this. I dont know why mine stopped looking after the crops I am not taking any more chances I am pausing the game when I go to bed from now on :o)

yes, that is always a good idea until you have level three farming and the algae puzzle solved.

Whoo hooo!! Yeah Justme! I knew you could do it. You just have to crack the whip with them. I was so relieved when I was able to get the fish problem solved. Once I got the tech three, they were self sufficent. In fact, I left two of my games on 2x when I went to class tonight. Whoo, I was a little nervous but they did just fine. Congrats on pulling them through.

christirose is completey right - had the same thing happening. managed well after hours and hours of collecting shrooms. i didn't even brew up any stews.
