I have three villagers that are masters at 2 things and have been adept at the third skill FOREVER... And their skill levels in the third skill hasn't moved in a day! I have noticed that they are all older... Does that make a difference? I know it didn't in VV1. Has anyone else had this issue??
Thanks!
K

It depends upon what that last skill is. They learn some skills much more quickly than others.

The old people I noticed go slower and I had one guy trying to get his building skill so of course he died before he got it as walking all the way with those bolders not only gave him a hernia but a heart attack.

There are ways plently of ways to get Masters and some hints have been given on other posts.
PM me if you want more help or hints with this.

Good luck!

I usually have them work on the skills that involve a lot of walking while they're young, and switch them to research when they're older (or even elderly). It seems to work best for me.

I have been getting frustrated, since one of my older perrenial adept builder isn't advancing. Well I guess you can't teach an old dog a new trick.... sigh

Nope he doesn't have a dislike to learning... but he really likes to cool his feet and enjoy the pond and of course eat. That guy goes to eat more than anyone else. If he keeps that up, one of the other builders are going to be able to use him as a boulder in building the new hut.

some people get stuck in their ways when they get older.

i.e. you can't teach a old dog new tricks....

I have a villager that it took me forever to teach anything to. I named him Imbecile.

I wait for the ladies to get to old to have babies and then switch them to parenting. They might as well enjoy themselves.
But not the Guys. I left one switched on the other night and had a baby boom the next morning. There is something about too many kids at one time especially when your looking for collectables.
