Just got the full game today (and impatient for the Mac release of the sequel)! One disturbing question before i start breeding a second time though : incest! is that taken into account in the game? If so, how far down the line... cousins, brothers ... (it's a sick thought but i guess it's an essential game mechanics question lol)

you are able to see the childrens heritage until they turn 18, once they turn 18, they can go to the love shack with anyone....including sibings.....

I have the second levesl in Farming, Engineering, Exploration, and Culture. I have the third level in Medicine. I also have 11 butterflies, 11 shells, and 9 pebbles, but not a single beetle! I am also running out of children. I have three left that are aged 12, and I am leary of impregnating female villagers further until I get to level three of farming so as to provide adequate food.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to find the first beetle? It seems to be some closely guarded secret here, as I have noticed some vague hints about 'puzzles needing to be solved' but that does not help at all! WHICH puzzles?
