How in the world do you VV1 and VV2 players get so far in the game so fast?
I have had the game since the 17th. And I am on it almost all the time.
But I have barely gotten all my sea shells and only a couple of beetles, I lack 1 of my butterflies.(but for some reason I have yet to find the last butterfly I have many repeats though).
And I have all but 3 of the pebbles.
And I am on almost my 4th day of playing. And some of you guy's and gals are on new games and have already played them all the way through in less time than I have only getting this far.
What are you doing that I'm not doing besides finishing your games?

Hi blue_koka! I have been wondering the same thing. I got my game from LDW on the 17th as well and you have more collectibles than I do in either one of my villages. I have only solved five or six of the puzzles, too. So you're probably ahead of me there also. I have read several of the forums and I know that some of the people here were beta testers. So they had their game longer than we have. Also, some people have been "time traveling" which I didn't even know what that was when I first read it, but have since learned that it's changing your computers clock. But everyone that's been doing that have regretted it because I guess it really messes up your game. The actual game designers have warned people several times not to do that, but you know people, many won't listen. I don't really understand why they do it as I find it fun (even though the time it takes can be frustrating) watching them progress and slowly growing towards solving the next puzzle.

Heh...don't know about anyone else, but I have my game pretty much running in the background all the time and I go and do something with it whenever I have a chance. I put it on half speed at night only if I'm worried I'll have a food crisis, otherwise I have it running normally.

When I've got spare time to actually sit down and play, I pick up a child and go scanning the village constantly, picking mushy's and collectibles as soon as they appear.

I also got my game on the 17th. I'm lacking 1 butterfly, 1 shell. I'm also lacking 6 beetles, and 4 pebbles. I'm not doing anything fancy.

I'll leave my game also at half speed during the night and at day at normal speed (if im not gone for too long) and when im at home i put it at 2x speed Goodluck!

I bought my game on the 14th 10minutes after someone posted the link on here, cos I wanted a chance to get on the leaderboards. With VV1 by the time I'd bought the game it had already been out for a while and so as none of us seem to end our villages but let our little people live for eternity their was never any chance of catching up. As for how quickly I progressed I blame the collectables.......
"Oh, it's 2am I'm going to bed now I'll just have a quick check for collectables oo there's 1, just 5 more minutes in case that shell comes I haven't had a shell for a while........what 3am definetely going to bed now.......one quick look then I'm off.........oh look that guys so close to being a master in his 3rd skill I'll just hang on for his totem then I'm definetely going.......4.30 god I'm going to be tired again in the morning"

Must admit now I've finished the game the second time round will be a more relaxed pace lol

I got teh game the day it was releasd fron BF games, and I hve been playing almost constantly. Due to medical reasons, I only go to school for three periods a day, then I come back home for the afternoon.I usually check on my villagers in the morning ,b efore school, when i come home, and then most o fhte day I switch between my four villages on this one, the two that are left on the first game, Animal Crossing, and homework. I am stil not nearly as far as many of the people, although, i am getting faster as i learn more. Maybe the people who are so far ahead have found some way to run four or five villages at once and then combine scores or something. It is kinda hard to belive that someone could already have 10 or more elders in one tribe already. It took me forever to learn how to efficiantly make more than one elder at a time. But if that's the way they want to play, then I guess you just have to let htem.

I have now been on the game for 6 days. I finally have all my shells,all my pebbles.And need 3 more beetles,but I have yet to find that last butterfly.And I was on the game 8 full hours.It is the one in the bottom corner left hand side.
I warped a game in VV1.But I was only cheating myself.And it just made a mess out of the game,so I didn't do it anymore.
I have all of my farming and all of my engeneering and 2 of the rest.
When I got all my engeneering I thought that I would get another building or something but I didn't get anything.
I was hoping I wasn't the only one who took so long on the game.
I finally have 3 Elders.But it wasn't easy and they were very old when they became one.And they were my first little ones.So I have had them for the 6 days before they became elders.
But I love this game as I have said many times on these posts.And when they have another I'll buy that one too.:)

i got the game the day it came out, and happened to have 2 days off of work.i kept it 2 times the speed . expect at night, also the first thing i do is go for level 2 or 3 in farming. i have learned in vv1 and vv2. you need to have that food supply!!
i have 31 elders now. but i have stopped that. it's not fun anymore. i have been on the leader board for a while now. i am gonna start a new game on the hard setting and play just for the fun of it!!!

Don't feel bad. I just finished all of the puzzles and still have to find two beetles and two more gems. I think they pop out when I'm sleeping.

I have totally finished my game. I have everything that you can possibly get. I change thier clothes and ring the gong (So far without reward or consequences) everyone else gets thing's .I think my game has a glitch in it.
Now I am on a second 3rd and forth game.

Are you leaving the villager selected and watching the text messages when you ring the gong? If not, you'll miss what happens.

Watch the status bar at the bottom of the screen under "action" and it will tell you what the gong did for your villagers.

Hey, a little bit of "elderly" advice. Don't worry about the leaderboards so much. The main point of any game is to enjoy it!

I'd be happy just to complete the collections. I'm two beetles, three shells, five butterflies, and four pebbles short of complete collections. I wish there was a magic way to make them appear more often!
