When I try to exit the game, my firewall detects an outgoing attempt to reach some survey website. I'm not interested in having any games I play go on the net for anything, so I told it to always deny.

Now I can't get the game to shut down. It freezes on the menu and I have to ctrl+alt+dlt to shut the game down. Which wasn't so bad.

Last time I had the game on I made a lot of changes. Put my little guys on different jobs and found a few new collectibles. Turn the game on again, and everything I did on the last run is gone. I can only assume something isn't saving properly since I'm having to exit the game through the Windows Task Manager.

Any help would be appreciated. Is there something I can change or delete to prevent he game from trying to access the internet?

Are you, by any chance, running v.97 of the game? Check your menu screen.

That depends. The version that you're running is a beta version. Where and when did you obtain it? Once I know that, I can advise you on how you might be able to get the released version.

A friend from work installed it on my computer. I didn't realize it wasn't the release version. Now I feel naughty. \:\( I'm sorry!

I'll get a release version when I get home tonight. Can't download at work. Sheesh. Do you think I will be able to keep my same village?

I am running version 1.00 bought from Big Fish Games and when I close down Mcafee gives me the same warning. My game shuts down fine though.

Jazmine, you really should get v1.00 for two reasons: the beta version is not a legitimate copy for anyone but the testers who were involved, and that version has at least one serious _bug_ that will make the game not so much fun. \:\)

The problem here, greybird, is that v.97 is a beta version that is specifically designed to allow testers to access a survey at the end. The warning that McAfee is issuing in your case has nothing to do with that.
