They'll be dead before they become Master doctors. None of them will train on their own long and it takes too long to keep taking them around. This and how slow they are all walking is the biggest frustraion for me in vv2. Go runners!! They are the fastest stew makers too!

I am in despair!!!

One of my villagers was really close to Builder Master status when a new big building opportunity arose - I deliberately kept the levels of villagers low so that those involved would increase their skill levels quicker.

We have now completed the big project (Puzzle 11) and she STILL isn't a Master!! Her preference is set to builder.

I'm not sure she if she will be dead by the time she becomes a Master - or if I will!!!!!!

Thanks Guru

But I have been doing this since we finished the big build - her progress bar just isn't moving - not during the whole Puzzle 11 development either.

Any other suggestions?

it can be done

it just takes a really really really really long time

it can take a lot of manual manipulations before anything changes

the only other thing I can suggest is to check building next to your villager and turn the game off for a few hours

check your log to see if any building progress is being attributed to your villager

i think they should still fix the huts while the game is off

Unfortunately, all of the builder activity isn't recorded in the log, so you'll have to rely on checking your villagers after you start the game back up. You can see indications that they are building, though, because injuries DO get recorded. \:\)

Well thanks for all your support - I finally got my villager to be a Master Builder - which also made her an Elder - aged 75.

The down side was that I think the hard work was to much for her she dropped dead immediately afterwards!

Now I feel really guilty for forcing an old lady to fix huts!!!

I did the same thing in VV1, ended up not letting any of the females develop building skills past what they were born with. I nearly lost one of my villages to having almost all builders and no farmers. The skill hasn't completely died out, I let the guys still be builders. My male parent almost never has building in skills list though, healing and/or farming only, my females are the same. Pity that you can't keep scientist in VV1, glad that changed in VV2!

My problem is that, with any villager who has 2 masters, it's taking an eternity to master the 3rd skill. It's as if the game won't let them take that final half inch into master-dom. They stay on task, healthy and all that, but I just can't get an elder. Is this a glitch? If so, is someone working on a fix? I never had these problems with VV1.
