something so horrible happened!
i have vv2 for 2 days now and i enjoyed it so much!
but an hour ago i wanted to watch tv so i quitted the game and i left it on 2xspeed because they were building 3 things. and when i came back ALL GONE DEAD THEY WERE DEAD. i just can cry

is it because i left 2xspeed on?

There is a log file in the VV directory that you can read to see why they died. If you had algae and ran out of coconuts and were low on food, they might have starved.

Yeah check the logfile. It happens, especially on 2x speed. How long were you gone from the game?

Definitely check the log file as MCroft suggested, and let us know what it says, or post it here.

The farther in the game you go...this should not be a problem. I downloaded the day it showed up on the BGF toolbar and have been playing it quite often ever since. I left it on 2X last night around 10pm and woke up at 8:30am. I went from 33 villagers to 77. Had one young male and female check for parents. Had over 500 in food (that was a first in this game), and only lost 2 villagers to old age from level 2. I have been down to 0 on food so many times it ain't funny. I have yet to lose someone to starvation.
