I posted this in general discussion and realized that maybe I have a better chance of an answer here. It was said that if you highlight your villager and press F6 it will change your villagers clothes...I tried that but to no avail..did I misunderstand?

I know that on my keyboard I have to unlock my 'F' keys for them to work. F6 does work, keep trying.

The F6 key only works if your villager is not wearing the last outfit in the clothing order. Once you reach that outfit, you're stuck with it.
