I am pretty new to this whole game and love it. I did just register so am very new to the forum. I have a quick question...I read that you always start with 7 villagers and I did on my first successful game but now every time I have started over I only get 6...& I tried starting over repeatedly and still just 6 villagers. Is this unusual? I would love to know any thoughts on this. Once again, love the game and would love to discuss it with anyone, even get to know fellow gamers who are addicted to the game also. Welcome. It's really better to ask your questions in the appropriate game forum, since this forum is for introductions and a lot of people don't read posts in here. I assume that you're playing Virtual Villagers: A New Home (VV1)? The number of villagers you start with depends upon the game difficulty. 7 for easy, 6 for normal, and 5 for hard.

There might also be a random factor on normal in VV1, so that you can occasionally start with an extra villager. I seem to recall this but I would have to check.
