What's up with this?? I am pretty tee off about this. I downloaded V V 2, installed it, and next thing I know I have a BIG FISH TOOL BAR on my browser!! I DID NOT give permission for this. When I went and shut it off, and reopened my browser, it was back on. So I uninstalled it now my game will not run!! This is really a hugh pain in bottom. I should not have to buy a game and have to worry if the place that is a WELL know site puts something on my computer BESIDES the game. Maybe you need to rethink about where you set up for your downloads.

My sympathies.
I didn't get the toolbar, but there were a 'few tick this box if you don't want...' options.
I hate having to tick if I don't want, I think the default should always be that you don't get the c--p the sites want to dish out to you.

Yea me too, we cant even get it to run on my other pc. What a waste of 20 bucks. I could have used that money tours my daughter wedding dress. I will never buy another game from big fish!

Ah you did choose it. It gives you the option to put it on or not.
You DO need to read those boxes when installing/downloading things \:\)
But yeah, I agree with you Auntie Kim about NOT having something as the default.
And Nara, try Shockwave, sometimes they don't get the games as new as Big Fish nor do they have the selection but you can download as many games as you want for a yearly sub.
That's where I found Virtual Villagers.

I find in the tech business more often than not people are click happy. As a general rule of thumb you should always click a custom install so you see what your actually getting. I have a feeling if you do that with this game you will not get the toolbar and the game will work fine. To call it a waste of money because you missed an option to uncheck is a little harsh. I agree with you toolbars are the bane of a computer persons' existence but i doubt its a requirement to play. Many others are playing just nicely without a toolbar im sure.

I am very diligent about the check boxes and such when I install something. I have had too many experiences with having to wipe my hard drive to get rid of some annoying piece of spyware that got installed and messed everything up.

I, personally, am very cautious when I install something. I, too, bought VV2 from BigFishGames and did *NOT* install the toolbar. I have no need for it. Pay attention before you zoom through your installation, because if you don't, it's as good as having given your permission.

Of all the games that I have played or tried through Big Fish, I have never had a problem with a toolbar.

Get on with the Big Fish Club. Games are tons cheaper that way. $6.99 for VV2 for me.

I don't get the option to install the toolbar any longer and I don't have it install (but then I use FireFox, not IE).

I love the toolbar. Had mine installed a long time ago. If you are a big fish game cluber than you get to download the new games a day before anyone who doesn't have the toolbar.

So do I. After all the fuss about RealPlayer 'calling home' a couple of years ago I'd definitely be dubious about anything from that source, anyway.

Watch what you ask for. I had someone gain access to my credit card I use only online, thank goodness I have it set at a low limit, so when they tried to purchase $400 worth of baskets it didn't go through. Serves them right, I bet they wished they tapped into someone elses info.

I hate the toolbars since everyones mothers brother wants to add one, if I allowed for every one my 19in monitor would suddenly shrink to a 4in viewable (ok slight exageration, but not by much)

I also refuse to update to the new IE 7 since I saw what it was like on my sisters computer. They totally changed the format so that now everything runs under tabs like AOL.
(my two cents)

heh.. I love the tabs, though not because of IE... I've used Opera for eons and that's always had tabs. Means I only have one browser window on the task bar instead of a zillion for each url I have open

Haha.. Thankfully that doesn't happen with Opera... evenn if another prog locks up the system and you have to do an inelegant shutdown, Opera will come back up and ask if you want to continue from where you were - with all tabs intact

I'm a personal info worrywort and never allowed a 3rd party toolbar to install until I saw that Big Fish lets you get games a day sooner than the internet release with theirs. My gaming obsession took over & I took the plunge. I've had it on 2 different systems for several months now with no ill effects. And yes, I'll admit, they're both Microsnort Windoze but I'm OCD enough that I've gotten pretty good at keeping them both "debunked" as much as possible.
