I don't post often, but I check the boards a lot. I enjoy interesting conversations that take place in the shout box (even not so interesting ones), but what I DON'T like is coming across spoilers in it. Unlike threads that I can avoid because they are clearly marked "Spoilers", there's no such warning with people posting in the shout box.

I guess this is really just a rant, considering there isn't much that can be done about it. But please, fellow LDW addicts, be respectful of those of us who are attempting to finish the games at least once without outright spoilers.

No i agree, I avoid most of the spoiler dedicated ones cause i dont want to ruin the game for myself, and alot of people that have the spoilers are people that have time warped, which finding out in a random post how to, even though i didnt want to know how lol but i just dont feel the need to do those things, i like taking the time to do things proper and if you get time travellers and spoilers all over its not going to work, cause you know where it all leads, and defeats the purpous of playing the game. Now if somone asked for help on somthing that has to do with the game but isnt a spoiler, im more then willing to help or read somone else helping, as long as it doesnt pertain to HOW to do things, most of the time *read stragedy and tips guide* works for most specially if you tell them where to find it.

ok now i got all ranty ,,, what i wanna say is *Here Here* rhesusxpieces i agree

I appreciate the support! I agree with your points as well. I definitely don't time travel, and if I find that I'm absolutely stuck to the point where I can't get any further, then I may check for a hint or spoiler on a specific thing. But otherwise, it definitely spoils the game.

Completely agree, I had to set my favourites to the Forum List page because when I used the portal page I could see the text of posts with spoilers arrggghhh and I try not to look at the shout box now.
I just don't see the point, I want to enjoy playing this with all it's little frustrations when you are shouting at your little villagers 'Pleassssssse just do this, or that' looool
I personally couldn't believe how many people were posting on Day 1 of release 'Help Please!' Give yourself a chance! You'll find a way in the end, it's a marathon not a sprint! \:D

I delete spoilers in the shout box whenever I see them, but it's just not possible to sit and watch the shout box all the time.

Oh, I understand that! I just think people should be more respectful of others trying to finish the game without spoilers. Like, BIG FISH! I opened up my email this morning with a newsletter from them, and there was a picture with (what I can assume was) an entire completed village! SO MAD! I would post a picture of it, but I don't want to spread the spoilers further.

I've been amazed at how little thought goes into putting together those "marketing" emails. Sheesh!!! \:\)
