If it bothers you just pick them up and take them to the village centre, I had 2 little ones sitting right next to each other both 'a little bit lonely' and I'm talking to the screen saying "Look turn your head to the side, there's someone right next to you!"

You can look in the guide or you can choose
the tutorial at the start of a new game.

Every time I see someone a little bit lonely I have to tilt my head and say "awwww" hahahha

I have been a bit lonely in a crowd before myself. So I can relate.

The villagers are so cute this round!

Has anyone else experienced adults - even elders - who are "a little bit lonely"? Thing is, if you drag another same sex adult to them the game assumes you are trying to mate them! If you drag an opposite sex adult then they do mate, which might not be what you had in mind. Any suggestions for something fun and innocent for the lonely adults to do?
