I know it was posted somewhere that the programmers are aware of and working on the problem with the fire never actually going out, but my question is this: Will my villagers ever "know" it's out? For instance, I let it run out of time to hopefully make my doctor a master when everyone got sick from the cold. Now it's been out for an hour, in real time, I have my game set to 2x, and no one has gotten sick. I know it's a terrible thing to hope fo, but will they? Or should I just keep marching her around to all the plants?

If I were you I'd keep marching her round the plants, friday night I went in the front room to get a cup of coffee (when I had 1hr left on the fire) and fell asleep on the sofa for 6hours leaving it on double time!!! and the only persons health that suffered was mine when I woke up and realised what I'd done

That glitch only occurs when the game is actually running when the fire timer expires. If you want the fire to act like it's out, just quit the game and launch it again. I don't believe the glitch affects villager behavior, but it's easy to make the fire go away. \:\)

Thanks everyone. Lady, I did quit the game, once before I posted, and again just now. I still have fire...but I will march her to the plants, like everyone suggests. Thanks you guys, you're all so quick with helpful answers!

Just out of curiosity, what version of the game are you playing? You can find that on the menu screen.

That's odd. That version should behave as I described. At any rate, all of the fire bugs should be fixed in the upcoming patch. \:\)

I bought the game from BigFish, and was wondering, how will we get the patch? Will we have to uninstall the game and lose all we have done? Pay again? Sorry, just a bit curious and a little nervous.

You won't have to pay again, but we can't be certain at this point about being able to preserve your games in progress. The details will be made available when the update is released.

Well, I can start over again, lol, already re-started several times as I refine my strategy. Thank you for the quick reply LadyCFII.

It is very much appreciated by me and many others that you and the other developers are so involved with us on the forums. Thank you all for 2 wonderful games, a great support service and endless possibilities to come.

OK im confused, theres a problem with the fire??? I put wood on the fire and my highest burn time no matter how much wood i put on is 9 hours, and it DOES go out when that timer has expired even when the game runs out, is that the glitch *9 hours*? or am i missing the glitch???

and im running 1.00 from Big Fish

Take your speed off 2x time!

I get 40 hours @ 1/2 time or 20 hours at normal time.

Oh yeah i know i got a shorter time on X2 speed ,, but i like it that way. im not complaining ,, just wondering if im missing a glitch ,, maybe me not having the glitch might help the team figure out where its comming from to help those who do have it.

I think the fire has to be out for an hour after the timer shows zero, before it is really out. I checked the log after the timer went to zero and it still said that the fire was helping the researchers with an extra point. I restarted after an hour and the fire was gone.

Yes, the timer works in such a way that when it shows zero time remaining, the fire it in its last hour.
